well sorry for the lack of updates, i've been awfully busy as of late. i was in Cancun & LA for 1 week earlier in March and if i do go on my pc, i'm usually just on msn chatting away and find it hard to squeeze in a post. me being lazy. i'll try sometime to make it up, maybe when i start getting more time to waste, which will be a while unfortunately and probably till after my A levels. though don't get the tissues out yet, luckily we're still blessed with fluokids and kidzbycolette =)

woooooo! glory glory man utd...at the end of the season, the premiership trophy will be back where it belongs. yes we were fortunate, but being 9 points above chelsea is all that matters. i said before ronaldo whipped in the freekick...it's a chance for vidic or ferdinand to be a legend...but of all people it was mr john o'shea who scored. he said in a post match interview that it was gary neville's dream to score the winner at the kop end...well for o'shea it has come real. so the idea of dreams has led me to post a dreamy tacteel remix of surkin's kiss 'n' fly. if you're gonna listen to your ipod before you go to bed, listen to this =)

it's liverpool vs manchester united this weekend and i think it's no surprise that man utd will obviously win *wink wink* ...well specially after we trounced them at old trafford this season, i think liverpool's possession went into minus...but i like surprises. evidently i don't mean liverpool winning saturday lunchtime, just that i like a nice surprise. like the ones where you find a tenner in your drawer that you didn't know about...so last month when i had a quick look through my MSTRKRFT remixes folder and found their sexy remix of juliette & the licks, i was more than pleased =)

when i wake up in the morning, i used to look forward to having a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes. now i dont. i've had them too often. that's what happens when you don't vary. anyway i don't want to keep posting the same music from the same scene all the time so i'll give you all something different today...starting with a band called switches. i guarantee you their songs will get stuck in your head alllll day so please take some time out to give them a listen. this track is called 'laid down the law' which was released last year but be sure to check their debut album when it comes out.

Surkin

I woke up this morning and I almost felt down because I remembered a pair of Adidas Skate I had seen yesterday and which I couldn't afford! The lession: fashion makes us sad. Anyway, the morning started to look brighter after I accidentally listened to Michael Jackson's Don't Stop Til You Get Enough. I didn't even remember how great of a track that is. Amazing stuff. Now I'm not going to upload that track because everyone should already have it :D

Now the previous didn't have anything at all to do with Surkin, one of my favourite artists right now. He's from Paris (surprise) and you've at least heard his massive hit, Radio Fireworks. Now I'll promise this dude is going to be huge, because he really has his own style that does work. And yeah, he's the geeky boy in the first picture :D

unfortunately these days some people are just too greedy. chelsea are greedy. tesco are greedy. that woman not sharing her kinder bueno is greedy. well maybe not her but the other two certainly are. however i definately am not. in fact i'm rather generous. i've given you new ed banger and sinden as well as a lovely kissy sell out track which i hope you're all enjoying.

although i thought how can i be even more generous to the people kind enough to pop by? ...maybe i could have one day of the week where i treat them with some pressies that i wouldn't normally post? i could upload a classic, a hidden gem or even something else someone has sent me that they want to share with everyone. so what shall i call this feature? the TUESDAY TREAT of course. simply because it's near to the start of the week and you may need cheering up.

now picking the first treat was a toughie but in the end it came down to a track which has an allure and the ability to make you fall in love with it. have a nice tuesday =)

when you're tipped as the english version of justice, then you know you're gonna be big. i hope kissy know's it. everybody seems to love his style and the way he mixes is something to admire. check out all of them over at his podomatic and make sure you listen to his new boom in the face mix. so this brings me to his xfm dj set he did last year and i still love the start where pink flag is mixed into sexy back but one track that kept getting stuck in my head at the time was his remix of baby i'm bored. for those of you who don't know, kissy sell out is the chap on the right of the photo and be sure to buy anything he releases...hopefully a debut album soon, fingers crossed =)

another dj who has a certain addictiveness is sinden. he's influenced by a lot of hip-hop similar to the likes of switch, diplo and duke dumont but his new track "beeper" differentiates himself from the rest. i could just listen to it for ages nodding my head and shufflin' my shoulders to the beat..it's like an exercise drug. are you finding you've eaten a lot of junk or consumed too much alcohol over the weekend? go to the gym and listen to this! you're bound to be in the mood to get moving lol anyway, i'm not sure when it is released but i'll let you all know when i find out.

Now I'll just say a quick hello to everyone, I'm Teekay (author of Kind Of Cool) and I'll be contributing to this blog from time to time.

As Pabs posted yesterday, the new Ed Banger compilation is coming out soonish. The actual release date is on the 12th of March, but we are lucky enough to get a few tasty tasters from the mixtape.

Now for anyone that has been asleep for the last year or so, Ed Banger is a French electro record label, definitely the hottest in the scene right now. They come from Paris, and I don't even need to say that their artists include Justice, SebastiAn, Mr. Oizo et les autres artistes superbes!

Now this SebastiAn track I'm posting is something very exciting. Pabs was speaking about wine gums earlier, now imagine that you have a Ross Ross Ross winegum and you put it into a blender with a pinch of concrete, and out comes Greel. Okay, enough with all the nonsense, here's the track:

when i first heard ed banger records were due to release some new material, i straightaway gave vol.1 another listen and remembered how addictive it was. this time they're back equipped with busy p's sexy french accent producing stomping tracks and showing us all why this is the hottest scene right now.

you've all heard of wine gums right? well vol.2 is a bit like a packet of chewy sweets. you pick one out and to your delight it's a blackcurrant justice one which you chew and instantly start shoulder shuffling in an addictive manner. then you hope for another one of your faves and you're delighted because you've been greeted by a red dj mehdi one that makes you realise how good a packet it is. you keep chomping away, getting all best wine gums, when you see one left. a yellow one. the ones that always get left at the bottom. so you start to chew away with scepticism...and chew a bit more...until half way through you shout out I LOVE THE YELLOW ONE C'EST MON PRÉFÉRÉ because you can't help but admire it. that's why one of the taster tracks that i'll be posting is vicarious bliss - limousine...it's a gem.
